Local Shops

Cardiff North is blessed with a number of local shopping parades – Llanishen, Rhiwbina, Whitchurch, the Heath and Llandaff for example. These valued small businesses have come under pressure from online shopping. When the Brexit Party comes to power they will get a tremendous boost from the abolition of retail business rates outside London.

The NHS

The NHS in Wales is under great pressure. The only Government that has cut money going into the NHS has been the Labour Assembly. Last Winter the performance of the NHS in Wales was the lowest since records began. Cancer survival rates are lagging in Wales. The Brexit Party has identified £200bn of savings nationally to be redirected to the regions and to the devolved administrations. My job will be to see that Cardiff’s NHS gets its full share of this Brexit bonus.

Young People

Cardiff is a great city for students to live and study – I want to make life even better for young people. We will scrap interest on student loans completely. I will also press for a crackdown on knife crime which is a worrying problem in the City.

Broadband

Broadband is now the lifeblood of business and day to day life. Yet, significant numbers of rural homes and businesses do not have access to high speed broadband in Wales. The Brexit Party will invest in broadband to connect all homes and businesses in Wales.

Our Mission Statement

The Brexit party will save £39bn by leaving the EU, cancel HS2 saving £86bn and reducing overseas aid. We will invest at least £12bn of these savings in Wales to improve roads, railways and broadband.
